Yorktel is Hiring a Support specialist Near Lawrence, NJ

With over 10,000 video systems under management worldwide more than any other video communications service provider Yorktel has the proven expertise and global reach to deliver enterprise-quality visual communications.

Yorktel is currently seeking a WCS Support Specialist who will be responsible for administrative and technical support activities as determined by the client.

This position will be based on-site at the customer location in Lawrenceville but may have a need to travel to other customer locations within NJ.

  • Auditing and validation of WCS Conference Room Standards to identify gaps and service improvement opportunities. One day a week frequency.
  • Monday & Friday - Monitor and escalate & Reporting responsibilities for SNOW, Weekly Conference Room Auditing & escalating and assisting with quarterly preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Collaboration with WCS Service and Equipment manager to triage and prioritize NJ Regional Dispatch needs for break-fix, as well as insight and coordination for all US Sites and engagement with ex-US Yorktel Tech Services team.
  • Integration into global on-site support communication channels (MS Teams, Mail Group Support) for full visibility into daily WCS Operations.
  • Escalation of trending or high-impact / critical break-fix issues to WCS management.
  • Engagement and escalate to Level 3 personnel for troubleshooting processes (including global live virtual troubleshooting tasks).
  • Assist with equipment inventory and meeting room maintenance program, in partnership with WCS Service and Equipment manager.
  • When necessary, the individual may be required to provide supplemental surge or backfill support for critical executive meetings or Technical Production events.
  • Ability to easily travel to all NJ sites, as needed.
  • Validation of proper resource management of on-site support teams.
  • Provide backup support and additional technical support to the Lawrenceville EMR and CEO rooms as well as the A-wing as needed.

Skills and Abilities :

  • 4-7 years’ experience working with audio / visual equipment.
  • 4-7 years’ experience with troubleshooting technical issues, preferably on A / V equipment and / or IP connected devices
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a customer facing position.
  • Complete understanding of IP networking
  • Complete understanding of A / V signal flows
  • Ability to work as part of team and as an individual
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds / 25 kilos.
  • Ability to walk and be on your feet for long periods of time.
  • Some overtime required, as allowed by local labor law.
  • Some local travel required, within NJ.
  • Climbing of ladders, up to 10 fee / 3 meters

Education and Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • CTS Certification required or obtained within 6 months from starting position.
  • CTS-I and CTS-D certifications preferred.

Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Long periods of standing and sitting.
